Jeremy Caplan is a visiting professor at the City University of New York’s Graduate School of Journalism and a Time Magazine contributor. He writes about technology innovation, business strategy and the 21st-century workplace. Caplan has reported for Time on Google, Apple and Yahoo, and written about innovators such as Farecast, Yelp and 37 Signals. In addition to tech and business, Caplan covers cultural trends, ranging fromĀ carrotmobs and cereal cafes to mini-lit and life-hacking.

Caplan was the 2008-09 Wiegers Fellow at Columbia Business School, where he completed his MBA, and was previously a Knight-Bagehot Fellow at the Columbia Journalism School. In addition to writing he teaches Interactive Journalism and the Craft of Journalism at CUNY’s Graduate School of Journalism and Hunter College. He lives in New York City.
